Hi Sara,

you'll have to give a bit of information about yourself so we can advise you properly. How old are you (high-school age, college age, non-traditional and returning to school)? What are you good at? What are you interested in? Have you got any work experience or transferable skills? What are your goals in life? How much schooling are you willing or able to take on? Where do you live (country and state if in the US, city or rural)?

Very generally speaking, healthcare is a good choice. Healthcare workers are always in great demand. Education requirements can be from a few weeks/months for e.g. a CNA license to 12+ years for a physician and everything in between. You would need to have some affinity to the sciences and good people and communication skills though. If you don't want a job with direct patient contact you could also look for careers e.g. in healthcare administration.

If you are not too excited about lengthy schooling and are not sure which direction you want to take, check out what your local community college offers. An associates degree can open doors for you. It can also be a great starting point to explore options for further education before you spend a lot of money on a bachelors program that you are not interested in.

You can also use LinkedIn or Indeed to look for job ads in your area. Research what kind of jobs are in demand and what the educational requirements are. If you can identify companies in your area where you would like to work, research the company, find people who work there and ask for an informational interview.

I hope this helps! All the best to you!

Hi Sara, it's great to explore what interests you and what you want to learn or do in the future. If you're not sure yet, consider going for a master's in business, which offers a broad look at the field. Before going back to school, think about what excites you and where you see yourself in 5 years. This can help you focus on what truly matters to you!

Hi Sara! It's great that you're returning to school. Congratulations! Picking a business major with a technology minor is a wise choice. You'll explore many areas, and with technology always advancing, there are plenty of job options. When I studied business, I took classes in accounting, finance, consulting, and management, even though I hadn't planned to. There are so many possibilities.

Thank you for your question. Different colleges have strength in different subjects. Firstly, you need to think about what careers you have interest and would like to pursue upon graduation.
Below are my suggestions :
1. Think about what you have interest, e.g. your hobbies, favourite subjects, etc. and identify the related careers.
E.g. If you like maths , would you like to be an accountant, engineer, financial analyst, banker, maths teacher, etc.
If you have interest in music, would you like to be a musician, singer, musical artist, music composer, music producer, etc.
2. Find out more on these careers and determine what you have interest
3. Attend the information session host by relevant department of colleges.
4. Shortlist 1-2 careers you would like to pursue
5. Research the colleges review on relevant subjects and find out the entry criteria
Hope this helps! Good Luck!
May Almighty God bless you!
