How do I make a college spreadsheet easily as a rising high school freshman, and how do I actually activate it?
I’m a driven and creative 8th grader at Founders Classical Academy of Rogers who loves leadership, music, sports, and faith. I serve as Secretary of NJHS, participate in student council and choir, and play volleyball. I aspire to become valedictorian, attend a top university, and build a future where I can lead, inspire others, and honor Jesus through my talents and achievements. In the future, I hope to study Biomedical Engineering, pediatric nursing, pediatric psychology, or marketing. I also enjoy singing, songwriting, and reading.

What a great question to ask, especially at your age! It shows you really care about your future, and I'm happy to help.
If your school uses Microsoft, save an Excel sheet to your desktop. If it's Google, save a Google Sheet. Name it "College Resume Activities." Create tabs like "Academic," "Business," "Music," "Sports," and "Service."
In "Academic," list your role in NJHS and any awards or positions related to your grades. You can add your GPA when you're a junior, so no rush now. In "Business," include any business clubs or online marketing you've done. For "Music," note your choir involvement and any songs you've written. I wrote piano songs in high school and used one for my college essay, so keep track of your favorites!
In "Sports," list your volleyball position. In "Service," mention your church activities and any community service, like student council. You can add a "Miscellaneous" tab for other activities.
You can use ChatGPT to help create a resume. Just ask it to make a one-page resume based on your spreadsheet, highlighting your achievements and activities. Compare it with a sample template to build your resume.
ChatGPT can also suggest 2 safety schools, 4 reachable schools, and 2 dream schools based on your interests, GPA, and where you want to study. Add this list to a "Colleges" tab in your spreadsheet. Research these schools online and connect with alumni on LinkedIn or reach out to recruiters. Your guidance counselor, friends, teachers, and family can also offer advice.
You're doing great, and good luck! Hope this helps.
