Brandon ’s Answer

Do vocal practice and warmups often. While your goal is to be a famous singer, you have to remember to protect your most valuable asset, your voice.

To get yourself out there, many people post videos or shorts of themselves singing online. That way you are able to allow a mass audience to listen to your singing while at the same time build your own personal brand. On a smaller scale, you could go to local community singing events and try to perform in front of crowds.

Hi Peyton,

I really encourage you to try social media! Platforms like TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube are great. TikTok is a good place to start because it's easy to gain attention there. Just start recording yourself singing, and watch the views roll in! I believe in you and am here to support you.

Hey Peyton! Great question, Unfortunately things like this dont happen overnight for the most part, let alone on summer break, lol! Coming from experience, Iv been creating for over half my life & im still not "Famous" however I do got a devent following & after all these years I can finally say I feel some Traction. Also, I even look at creating music differently then I did just 2 years ago. It's a growing curve & if your serious about it you will see just what I mean by that. What I can say is, be consistent! Be yourself & speak the truth! Good luck to you & your endeavors 🙏 - Nathan

Put all your time into your music, sing with your heart, and let your creativity shine. Many country artists are doing pop country, so stand out by being original! It's much better to be known for something you truly love than for pretending. It's awesome that you're diving into this!

Hi Peyton!

While I am no expert, I did recently watch on Netflix "The Lainey Wilson Story" about how she rose to fame, still kept herself humble, committed & also had struggles with her mental health while feeling like she had to accomplish everything for everyone!

Also, Shania Twain story...
Practice, practice, practice!

Best of luck!

It's awesome that you have exciting goals for your music career! Have you thought about live performances? Local coffee shops or outdoor festivals might be great places to start. Even if it's just for tips and experience, it can open up more chances for you. Also, try connecting with other musicians. Maybe you can open for someone more experienced or join a touring band. The more experience you get, the further you'll go! Can't wait to see where your journey takes you!

Hey Peyton! This is an exciting time when anyone can become a star quickly. Discover what makes you unique. Think about how you can share your special qualities with others. What makes Peyton stand out? Try joining karaoke nights, talent shows, or open mic events in your area to get comfortable performing. If you're on social media, share your own versions of popular country songs. Consider taking voice lessons, too. Most importantly, always be genuine and true to yourself. You've got this!

Martha D.’s Answer

Hi, Peyton, what an interesting question. There are no guarantees about fame at all, let alone over the summer. However, Brandon gave good advice, and here are other thoughts:
- Take voice lessons to improve and protect your voice. Learn what makes makes country music vocals distinctive.
- Learn a common instrument, such as the guitar, so you could accompany yourself.
- Consider writing your own country music songs to stand out and tell the stories you want to tell.
- Study the history of country music to deepen your interpretation of songs. See if you could get tips for your career from the careers of country music stars you admire.
- Find opportunities to perform. Brandon mentioned online, which is great for scale. But I would suggest in person also. Live performance is more fun for performer and audience, and will quickly let you know what works and what doesn't.
- At some point, you may want to consider moving to a place known for country music, such as Nashville. Immersing in the culture will help deepen your knowledge and help you get contacts.
See more suggestions in the link below. Wishing you good luck!
