what is the salary I can quote? I am done with Accenture final round of interview for custom software engineer L10- my total years of exp is 5 and relevant to frontend development is around 4 years. My last drawn salary was 5Lpa from Capgemini (ik I was severely underpaid, stayed there because the recent project offered a lot of learning). How much should I aim for during salary negotiation? Also I am an immediate joiner.
Also does Accenture release offer first and then later negotiation or they call and discuss first?

Hi Nikita,
Congratulations on completing your final round with Accenture. That's a big step forward. With your 5 years of experience, especially 4 years in frontend development, you can confidently aim for a salary between ₹12–18 LPA for the L10 Custom Software Engineer role. (NOTE: All the salary details mentioned here are extracted from online source of Accenture and hence its subject to change as per the requirement of the role and availability of salary range)
Your experience places you at the higher end of the mid-level range. Asking for a better package is realistic and competitive, especially since your last salary was ₹5 LPA, which was quite low. Your ability to join immediately is a strong advantage.
Accenture usually sends the offer letter first with a fixed salary. You can negotiate afterward by discussing market benchmarks, your skills, and your readiness to start right away.
Here are some tips for negotiation:
- Highlight your ability to join immediately, which can save Accenture time and resources.
- Emphasize your 4 years of frontend expertise and your successful project deliveries.
- Be open about your previous low salary and how you stayed for learning opportunities, showing your commitment and growth mindset.
Remember, Accenture might initially offer closer to the median salary. The negotiation window is short, so be prepared to discuss and justify your request. Also, understand the fixed and variable parts of the salary package, as it might include performance bonuses.
In summary, ask for better package which you are happy with during negotiations, expect a final offer and be ready to support your request with your experience and market data. Good luck.
