Should I make money off of graphic design?
I'm 13, and I like to do graphic design as a hobby, but now I want a source of income so I can start buying some basic needs and wants. Should I try and go for it, and if so, then how do I start?

Absolutely! Its great that you've found something you enjoy doing. You don't need to be an expert in the business right away to start experimenting on how to generate money. Start small and continue to work on your craft.
Create a portfolio. Start with people you may know (can you create invitations, posters, social media graphics etc?). You could explore starting an Etsy shop when you are ready to grow. Make sure you involve your parents or guardians on what you are doing. You may need to start with "beginner" pricing, but don't be afraid to charge what you are worth. Good luck!

Yes, go for it, but keep it as a side hustle.
Build a small portfolio (5-10 designs).
Start with friends, family, local businesses, or school clubs.
Charge modest rates at first.
Keep improving your skills through practice and tutorials.
Involve a parent/guardian when handling payments or clients online.
Focus on getting good first. The money will follow as your skills and portfolio grow.

Begin by creating a portfolio to display your work. Share your projects wherever possible. Initially, offer your help to small brands or companies for free to gain experience. Gradually, you can develop professional designs that clients are willing to pay for. Explore freelance websites to find opportunities. Additionally, learning about AI and graphic design can give you an edge over other designers, as this is the future of the industry.
