I want to go to PVAMU but don't know what science I will enjoy and want to pursue

Hi Mariah,

There's definitely a lot of different areas you could explore in science. It's such a broad field! I would start by maybe taking some free courses or reading books about particular subjects that interest you.

Some science paths you can take in college include healthcare, physics, biology, data science, computer science, and much more. So, if you're not sure where to start, check out a few of these fields and see what interests you the most.

Looking at PVAMU's website, I see they have several schools devoted to the sciences, engineering, and healthcare. You could definitely ask your advisor there what options you have for science degrees, or you can look at the website and explore what's available.

I found that when I was thinking of the area of science I'd like to choose, it made sense to focus on what I was already drawn to. I've been interested for a while in understanding human well-being and solving health-related problems, so Health Science ended up being the right choice for me. It took me time to figure that out, though, so don't worry if you need some reflection and experimenting before you find what's right for you.
