Would you recommend someone interested in Cyber Security to learn Networking first?

I'm a 16 year old in a High School dual enrollment program at Prince George's County Community College. I want to get into Cyber Security, and I plan to major it later down the line for my undergraduate, but a lot of my research shows that getting into networking, and learning fundamentals in networking is imperative before doing cyber security. I hope to reach out to some professionals in Cyber Security, and I want to ask you, if you were in my position, what would you do to become successful in the Cyber Security industry?
