Accounting is a field that involves understanding how businesses manage money, track expenses, prepare financial statements, and make financial decisions. The classes that help most are accounting, mathematics, economics, and business studies.
Accounting classes are especially useful because they introduce concepts like debits and credits, financial statements, bookkeeping, and budgeting. Math helps with calculations, while economics and business studies help you understand how companies operate.
You don't necessarily need to be amazing at math to succeed in accounting. Being comfortable with percentages, basic algebra, calculations, and interpreting numbers is helpful. Attention to detail, organization, problem-solving, and logical thinking are equally important.
Overall, accounting is a good field to explore if you enjoy working with numbers, solving problems, organizing information, and understanding how businesses operate.
