Patty’s Answer

Wiktoria,

What a great question! I think Nursing School is one of the hardest things I have ever done. It is challenging and you will see many people slowly start to drop out as the semester goes on. From the time one applies to Nursing School to the time one is working on the floor the stress level is consistently high. Get used to it! It's the most challenging of all my degrees, but also the most rewarding!

You can do it if you put your mind to it.

Best of Luck,

It truly depends on if it is your dream job or an aspiring student who truly wants to work to help others. Yes, classes can be stressful just as any. However if you have the drive and dedication it will just flow naturally. I was a nurse for several years. Due to a back injury I went back to school and now a therapist. I still help people but just in a different way. It also depends on your state requirements. As you must be certified by health departments and board. There are codes and regulations which are utmost importance. This is to ensure proper care, state/ city requirements and, knowing the do's and don't. They will be engrained within you. Biology and math I hate. However, ensuring if any prerequisites are necessary they must be completed first. The college you pick at times will require you to apply for the program. You must hold CPR certification. Look to see if you need to have insurance coverage for yourself. Accident can happen, and if the facility faults you at times people can be sued. Yes, it can be highly rewarding at the end of the day. You help people, save people lives, you comfort them and showing compassion and respect no matter their thoughts or beliefs. To be honest, I first got into medical because my grandmother had cancer and I wanted to ensure correct and proper care for her. Maybe a year after she passed, I hurt my back and I just decided to switch to psychology. Hope this helps
