There are a lot of opportunities! And the outlook is very good for a long term. Today you can see some "trending topics" that will keep on the radar for the next years like:

  • Cloud
  • Artificial Inteligence
  • Data Science
  • Automation
  • Security

Inside of each of the areas I said, you can find a lot of specific positions. There are some positions that require a high number of skills. Here a good list of positions that you can search for. https://www.thebalancecareers.com/list-of-information-technology-it-job-titles-2061498

But the point is, all the basics for most of the positions you have to understand operating systems, basic infrastructure, programming and concepts of security. All of the IT topics evolve, so you have to try to be updated. Self learning is a key aspect of a good professional.

Personally I add also Virtual Reality, Extended Reality, Quantum Computing as topics we will see most commonly.
