When colleges look at applicants, they're hoping to find students who will succeed in college and beyond. Colleges use your scores (SAT/ACT scores, GPA/transcript, class rank, and other test scores) to judge your readiness to attend their school.

The accept rates at good colleges are reducing owing to the growing number of applicants. Colleges are looking for Relevant knowledge in the area of interest, Aptitude, Passion, Perseverance, Curiosity, outlook towards society etc. You have to make sure your application highlights all these areas so that the chances of acceptance are higher.

- You need to get a required grade for applying to a college ( SAT/GRE)
- once you meet the grade criteria, you need to apply to the college with a very good SOP ( statement of purpose) highligthing your strengths, Passions, why you want to join that college.
- Along with the scores and SOP, they also look at your co curricular activities.
