Unfortunately Stephanie, you have to deal with needles coz one of the duties of a nurse is to give medication and that includes inserting needles through one's veins to provide medication so that they can get well. You need to learn these skills if you wanted to become a nurse.

Yes, needles are a big part of nursing, unfortunately. Nurses administer medications with needles of various sizes into various parts of the body. You'll need to learn what size needle goes with what medication, what part of the body to use, and a number of different ways to use different needles. You'll even practice the techniques in school. I was scared of all that, too. I think all my classmates were at first, at least, a little nervous, but that is why we practice first before we actually give medications to people that way. And although it does take thought, attention, and proper technique - I overcame my fears. Good luck.
