Dan’s Answer

Hi Julian,

The construction industry is vast, offering many opportunities. I've chosen to be a construction manager, overseeing skilled trades like carpenters, masons, and electricians. I love my job, even though it sometimes means working longer hours than the tradespeople, who usually work a regular 8-hour day, 5 days a week. Projects often have deadlines, so sometimes we all need to put in extra hours or work on weekends.

The hours you work will depend on your specific trade and the projects you take on.

I hope this helps!

Best,
Dan
