I want to major in neuroscience and biology, but the work may be strenuous. Will I be able to take on the taxing work while playing soccer, too?

My name is Gabby and I am a senior in high school. I will be attending a liberal arts school with an amazing medical program. I want to become a neurosurgeon, but I also want to play soccer. I am asking this question to know if I am being too ambitious by taking on too much. #school #soccer #work-ethic

Hi Gabby. I have two daughters that went thru very similar paths. They played high school softball as well as club ball. They were both very competitive & also very good. Both played for the Canadian Jr National Team & both attended University of Southern Miss. Both of my girls are studying to be a veterinarian. Again, a very hard program but both girls are good students. So, I don't think you are being too ambitious. It can be done but it will take an amazing amount of desire, devotion, dedication, commitment & love for both of these. You can do anything you set your mind to. My girls can do it............so can you. I encourage you to live your dream. If you need to make adjustments during your journey, then make these adjustments. You will be fine & will do very well. Good luck and good luck in your upcoming finals.
