If you get a degree in Math Education can you teach accounting?

I would love to teach math but I'm not sure if I would like to teach Algebra and Calculus and stuff like that. But I absolutely love accounting and would like to teach that. #education #mathematics #k-12-education

Hi, there is so much more to accounting than math. There is a misnomer that accounting is math but it is so much more. My advice to you if you really interested in being an accountant is to get your degree in accounting and/or finance. Start with your BS. Get an internship. If you like it continue to your masters and get your CPA. Its critical to determine if you're going to like it before you exhaust the time, effort , and money into CPA.

I will say this to every student, chase joy, not money. You only live once. You will spend much of your life in this career.

If you don't think you enjoy algebra and calculus then you should focus your degree in accountant and your goal should be to pass the CPA exam. If you work hard and do it in small steps it will be achievable and worth your while. You will have other options after you do this.
