Jared’s Answer

That is an interesting question. It depends on what you value. If you are wanting to make a good salary, then you will have to go to school for AT LEAST 4 years. As a nurse, 4 years will be required and you will make around the $50,000 area right out of college (depending on where you live). The only problem, in my view, is that there is very little room to increase your salary unless you get more education. There are legal and ethical limits to your job, unlike a lot of business related jobs that have much more flexibility. You do not "climb" up the ladder in nursing like you can in the business world that does not necessarily require more school. It is a tough question. Healthcare is one area that requires at least 4 years of school in most instances. I would be interested to see if other people have opinions different than mine, that I just my 2 cents

I agree with Jared. Anything less than a bachelor's degree will hold you back over the course of your career. An advanced degree is required if you want to be successful and make a higher salary in the healthcare field.
