Hello Hudson,
Firstly would like to thank you for this opportunity to answer your question.
Basically I am a computer science student but I was passionate about Mech.
If you are truly loving the Mech field just focus on area which you would like to work, later you can start thinking about earning.
For any mechanical engineer, it is difficult to earn enough in career building point unless gets placed in giant MNC's who offers better packages.
But if one have enough knowledge, can get the right income.
for EX: AMZ is partnered with Daimler now but the founder of AMZ was an employee of Daimler and was specialist in Engine tuning. Later he started own company called AMZ but Daimler made him a partner.
Hope the above example answers your question.
Thanks...

Hello Hudson,
Great question. Mechanical engineering is going through a sea change as it pertains to integration with AI capabilities. In fact, you're sitting at one of the most exciting intersections in engineering right now, and that's not even hype, it's the hiring reality. Mechanical engineering firms have already started to integrate AI, and demand is surging for engineers who can bridge physical systems and AI algorithms. AI purist folks don't understand machines. and similarly pure ME folks don't speak AI. If you can speak to both (and may be its not your starting point, so go do that) it will be a very rare occurrence. Average AI engineer salaries hit range from $200K-$240K to begin, in fact domain experts command even higher premiums. I'd recommended focusing on the topmost use cases i.e. robotics, digital twins, predictive maintenance, or autonomous systems. This is the future and mechanical engineering firms are building that!
Be a part of that story. Good luck!
