What matters more for a job: grades, what school you attended, or clinical skills?

I am a part of a brand new nursing program and it's not accredited yet, but hopefully will be. I am thinking to the future and trying to find out what possible employers are looking for. I just want to ensure that I can have the most successful career path possible. #nursing #medicine #nursing-education #careers-in-healthcare

Both grades and skills are important, but how you connect with others truly matters. In nursing, communication, leadership, empathy, and active listening are essential. These skills and your character are key to becoming the best nurse for your patients. They rely on you for comfort, so everything you learn from your grades, your skills, and how you treat patients is important. We've all been patients at some point; think about the best nurse you've had and why they made your experience positive. While grades help you understand the basics, skills are what truly make a difference.

Grades will get you in the door, your skills will get you the job. I think the most important think is skills. It's what sets you apart and what really matters in the end.
