What's the percent of the time spent alone or with a team?

I want to be a professional soccer player. I know a lot about it because, that's my favorite sport but I want to know the time you spend with the team, and how much time you spend alone. How can you continue with this career. #sports #soccer #professional-sports

Thank you comment icon sometimes you spend about a half day on training or even a full day, it all depends in what team you join carlos

Though I'm not a professional soccer player, I'm an avid fan and like you it's my favorite sport! I enjoy watching interviews of soccer players from various teams, and youtube specifically has a variety of videos and films that cover the personal life of athletes. From what I can gather, professional soccer players travel constantly during the season and spend many nights in hotels (regardless of whether MLS or European club). There is also a mixture of promoting the club by attending various events around the nation or even internationally, which makes up a portion of the "off-season." It's a great aspiration to work towards becoming a professional soccer player, so I'd recommend researching for personal commentary and interviews of such athletes for specific examples. Like most jobs, you will likely spend more time with the team than with your family but I would imagine there's a strong sense of community within each club. Hope this response helps in some way!

Hi Roger,

My son is a professional soccer/football player in Germany. He started at the age of 7 years old by playing in clubs and eventually Academy. It was hard work but if you really want it, you just have to believe in yourself and work towards that goal.

I tease my son constantly because I think that he has the best job in the world. You train for maybe 5 days of the week. Training takes around 2 hours per day. You get to hang with people you like and live your dream on a daily basis. How cool would that be? You have a lot of time to have a personal life and to continue your education so that after your career has ended, you have something to fall back on.

Since this was posted in 2016, I would like to hear about your exploits since then.

Drop me a line so we can talk some more.

Take care
