[closed] Do managers make agendas and outlines before a meeting?

Hello,

I am a current business senior with an associate degree in business administration and a concentration of management. I will soon be obtaining my bachelor's degree in business administration. The goal for me is to become an office manager. My academic classes, such as management, have taught me that preparing for a speech will give someone less anxiety and make them more prone to success than others who do hardly anything and just procrastinate for assignments. Do managers actually use an organizational outline to help prepare themselves for a meeting, or is it a forgotten academic tool? My perspective is limited now to a student;s opinion.

I appreciate your time. #business-administration #organization #office-administration

Managers prepare for meetings in many different ways but it always starts with an end-in-mind. Once you have that then the task becomes how to motivate the team to give their best to reach that goal - and get rewarded/recognized for the same. Treating everyone with respect, encouraging participation, motivating each member to speak their mind while keeping the conversation on track - is an art and a science. There are many good books on effective communications .. Crucial Conversations - by Patterson, Grenny, McMillan and Switzler is a good one.
