[closed] Are there opportunities in the workplace for students to gain temporary management experience?

Hello,

I am a college senior in business administration, and my concentration is in management. I love to learn more about the demand for management jobs and internships for college students who desire to gain experience alongside their academic work. So far I have an associate's degree in administration. Soon, I will be obtaining a bachelor's degree. Because my experience is limited to some volunteer service and classwork, I would like to ask if there are opportunities in the workforce to gain a management position. Hopefully, if a position is not able I would like to ask if there are mentorship and training programs during a school year. This is for the college students in business who would like to use a job supplement to their degree and/or coursework. #business-administration #leadership #office-management

It's great to be thinking about obtaining relevant job experience. A good substitute for management experience is leadership experience which you can obtain from a variety of settings, including volunteering and in your classes or competitions your school participates in. Look for opportunities that require producing a deliverable and working with small groups to accomplish larger objectives. Alternatively, finding internships at management consulting firms is another way to gain experience in these areas. As an intern or new associate, you get to work with teams of more experienced associates to learn the ropes before being promoted to a role where you oversee others.
