Hello, A lot of GMs of professional sports teams in North America have backgrounds in the field of law. Obviously having managerial experience of managing a team, and having a keen eye on scouting talent is a benefit, but in terms of educational background, given contracts and negotiations are a huge part of being a GM, having this type of skill-set and experience is crucial for successful GMs. Cheers, and best of luck with your studies!
