Hi Mickie! It sounds like you have some technical background, have you considered starting entry-level at a technology company like Verizon Wireless, Spectrum or AT&T and working your way up the ladder? An operations type role as a consultant or analyst may fit nicely with what you enjoy. Another option is working with a trucking type logistics/brokering company like TQL. They have locations all over the country and have a nice entry-level benefits package for employees.

Katy’s Answer

Have you considered dispatch? Police, Fire or emergency room dispatch. A planning position might also be a good one for you. I would take a look at the following:

Donaldson Company Inc.
CH Robinson
Amazon
Local Police/Hospital and/or fire

Good luck!

Hi Mickie!

I am very intrigued by the job that you LOVED in Duluth and want to encourage you about your gifts and talents. It sounds like you love both the people aspect and the "doing" of the logistics. So I say "keep going for both"! The big box stores along with the their online competitors in your area may be a great place to start researching. But reach out to your relatives and friends too. You never know "who knows who" that works "where" it will be perfect for you!
