What career would combine all of these?

Shahbaz’s Answer

You should consider graphic designing in the beginning and then move towards specialization in animation as the field is quite wide and require special focus after initial years of study. I would also suggest that you should do short courses on animation side which can help you to explore more on the options available and key developments in the industry.

I would also recommend graphics designer, something in fashion, maybe industrial designer for products. It's good you know the area of interest, the next step is actually learn by doing, maybe learn design/digital program, there are a lot of low cost to get you started, and explore what you enjoy to draw, and how like to draw. In high school, I like to draw and learned Coreldraw at the time, and replicated professional logo by eye. In university I enjoyed product design, and learned how to use Solidworks and Autocad. So your interests evolves, so you only can find out by doing/

Hi Bri,

<quote> illustration, character design, and costume design for animation <quote>
The first thing that pops in my head is:
- game graphic designer
- animation studio (like disney pixar, dreamworks and all the special effects companies that you do not see )
- marketing for advertisement videos

I also wonder if the fashion area does not use this at some point.

Hi Bri,

I went to design school in LA and there was a major called "Entertainment Design" where students focused on character design and costumes to enter the gaming, film and animation, and entertainment (theme park) industry. A lot of my friends ended up working as a concept illustrator for major films. Dropping this in here so you can get a better idea of the curriculum for this type of program. http://www.artcenter.edu/academics/undergraduate-degrees/entertainment-design/overview.html
