On average, how much is a technology university?

I was wondering the about the price because I plan on going to a STEM college for a computer science or cyber security major. Thanks in advance. #computer-science

Yea Joanne is right, lot of variance. Anywhere between 5-10k a year, and >50k a year, if we're talking USA.

Another serious option to consider: go to a community college for your first two years to knock out general requirements (math, physics, gen Ed, etc), and then transfer to a (preferably in state) university for the last two years. You get the same degree at the end, and pay like half or less for your first two years.

Also depends on your state. If you luck out your state may have a very solid CS program.

Joanne’s Answer

The cost can range from 10K to 100K depending on how much you want the name.

My sons are both STEM kids, and luckily, both received some scholarship money.

The one son - if there was no scholarship would be $15K a year for a ECE (Electrical/Computer Engineering) program.
The other son - if there was no scholarship would be $25K a year for a Business Data Analytics program.

If money's no object, shoot high.

If money is an object .. think ROI .. what's your return on investment for your education. Colleges boast about how well they find jobs for their students (The New Jersey Institute of Technology has a nice ROI and good price for NJ state residents).
