I want to work in Investment bank in the future. Must I get a Master Degree? And is Ivey business business school competitive?

No, you do not need a masters degree to be an investment banker. I think that it is important to know investment banking is a very competitive business. It requires long hours and lots of hard work. I am not saying this to deter you, but I say it as an important thing to understand before you take the next steps towards this. I think first step is learning exactly what investment bankers do. If you learn about that and are still interested, then it is important to focus on taking classes that will help you gain the knowledge to be prepared for the job. Speaking with a guidance counselor can often help to determine which classes will put you on the best path. As for Ivy League Business schools, yes they are very competitive so it is important to understand what you are bringing to the table before applying. Evaluate your grades and speak with guidance counselors and mentors so you make sure you apply to business schools that you will be able to get accepted to. It's important to reach but also important to have realistic expectations. And if you can't go to an Ivy league business school, that is ok. There are plenty of great business schools out there that can help you get your foot in the door of the investment banking world. I think more important than the business school you attend is making relationships in the field you are interested in. Apply for internships at banks, contact companies you want to work for to understand what they are looking for when they hire someone. Good luck!

To answer your first question - no you don't need to have a masters degree to work at an investment bank. A masters degree will help you stand out from the crowd, but getting an internship at a bank is a good way to get your foot in the door. What type of work (trading/research/advising/compliance/etc) were you looking to get into at a bank? Many business majors (finance/accounting/economics/MIS) will get you into a bank and you can move your way into your desired position when you have put in a few years at the bank. As for your second question, I'm not familiar with Ivey Business School, I won't be able to help you with that question. I hope this has helped.

1. No you donot need a Masters Degree for getting a job in Investment Banking.
2. Ivy business schools are competitive. I would suggest you look are current ranking of B-Schools - Sites such as CollegeRankings , TimesRanking provide perspectives on Ranking.
3. Non Ivy Schools in east coast in US - and focussing on Finance - can be a good option as well when considering B-School. Example Say in US - Rutgers. Fordham, Stevens, do provide you access to Wall Street Jobs.

It is key that you understand first the different type of activities and roles that investment banking cover, since it is a broad field.
I do think that beyond the discussion about the Master , it is key to have good STEM education, in addition to have a natural curiosity for business and finance development across different industries . The discussion around the master should be really done once you are in the field directly . Usually oils help to potentialize even more your learning and adaptability skills .
