When we finish our LAW studies we would definitely want to give best and become the best lawyer. Soon after the studies its better to work as assistant lawyer under any famous ones and then slowly build the connections through this work.
After couple of years start a firm with couple of good lawyers and start handling cases from connections and by this we would get different cases as each lawyer would have different connections.
Once we establish our capabilities to our clients then that's what will make you famous. Then in no time we are gonna be famous one.

Terri’s Answer

In addition to doing good work for your clients, remember that in many cities, the members of the bar know each other well and work with each other (or litigate against each other) regularly. If you have a reputation as a hard working, ethical lawyer, you’ll be more trusted by judges and other attorneys—even if you aren’t on the same “side” of a case. And attorneys who cannot take a case for some reason might refer work to you. A good reputation among other lawyers is important!
