Hi Fabian !
First off Congrats on having direction on your life and career choices ! I will pose this question to you while you make your decision , Which one do you foresee your self being happiest in ? Like waking up everyday to do enthusiastically , when you are tired and have nothing left in you ? Throw out whats the easiest and go with what you feel most passionate about and called to . Both have different pros and cons that will ultimately blend together so What do You want to do ? What comes to you naturally . Thats the choice . Good Luck buddy !

After reading the above, she gave great advice. I'm not qualified for this answer. Stay motivated and know what you decide, you got it, no matter how hard, because you are SMART.
Best of luck.

Fabian,
Some help on the pro's and con's (probably oversimplified, but hope it helps!)
desk work/ moving about
solo/team work
civilian attire/uniform
regular hours/shift work (shift work is great because you can go camping when everyone else is at work, but makes it hard to see friends and family sometimes)
calm/adrelinine rush (emergency services is calm/stress/stress/stress/boring.. ... you never know!

Hey! That’s a tough decision, but take your own time to learn and decide if you want to pursue that career.
As far as I can help, I’m a doctor who is going to pursue psychiatry residency, I have worked under psychiatrists and learnt about the lifestyle and work. You have to make up your mind to be able to see patients everyday, listen and talk to them each for an hour or so, and if you are a kind of person who doesn’t enjoy talking or have less patience, then it is probably not for you. You need to be strong enough not to get empathy burnout, On the other hand, the physician burnout is less compared to other fields of medicine, and there is Job satisfaction definitely,
Make a pros and cons list and decide wisely.
