Hey there Ayden!
A large animal veterinarian's job is to examine, diagnose, and prescribe treatment whether by medication or surgical procedures. They can work with horses, cattle, goats, etc. Their salary can vary depending on location and the type of work they do.
A vet tech is there to assist the veterinarian with examination, taking vitals and collecting samples for testing, assisting in procedures, patient care, client education and various other duties.
Vet techs make significantly less of a salary/wage than a veterinarian does.
To become a veterinarian, you would first have to get a degree in pre-vet, and then move on to getting a degree in veterinary medicine and passing the NAVLE, this can take usually from 6-8 years of schooling.

To become a vet tech, depending on your state, you typically need to graduate from an AVMA accredited college and pass the VTNE. Schooling typically lasts 1-4 years to obtain licensing as a vet tech.

Depending which route you want to take, there are many good schools to choose from. Do your research beforehand and ask professionals in your area for advice whether it's a local veterinarian or even a school counselor.
I recommend volunteering at a large animal sanctuary or farm before making a decision to get a feel for it and it would give you a huge advantage in the field!
Best of luck to you!
