Chelsea’s Answer

Hi Harleigh! I have my Master of Science in Nursing and obtained that by going through the masters program while taking all the necessary courses in order to become certified as a nurse practitioner. You can also get your master of science in nursing education and could be a teacher for nursing students/health students. I also know a few nurses that went on to the IT world but still in the nursing world (such as charting software like EPIC, Cerner, etc).

Hi Harleigh! Healthcare is a beautiful field and being at the level of your master's programs now simple means you have a desire which keep you going . I will like you to do some self reflection on why you choose to do healthcare in the first place, because I believe your Passion lies somewhere in your subconscious mind.
However I might suggest a few directions to go after your program and you can evaluate that when you are ready.
1: Nurse practitonal. This will entail that you work in the hospital in a little advance level in the day to day life of managing and planning care plans of a patient, administration and even consultation.
2, Virtual Nursing. You can add a few courses to work as a virtual Nurse hence you will be able to walk in the hospital or at the comfort of your home just by answering to calls directing patient on what to do or actively watching over a patient from a camera and in collaboration with the health team on board.
3, healthcare administration. This is my very most loved field and someday I will like to get my hands on some courses that will help me be better and I know being where you are you can have them . Health care administrator is to manage a health facility , a hospital, or a nursing school, a community. It puts the nurse on the decision making table and not just allow others make the decision for them.
4. Nurse Educator. Where you can start teaching either to nursing students or to the people in a community.
5 . A Nurse: you can be a nurse if you love the bedside nursing and go live your Passion.
Good luck on your decision making I wish you the best.
