From talking to a lot of vets, or even vet techs, having to witness people mistreating their animals. And that can mean a lot of different things. Or just witnessing sad situations. For example, I heard about a dog that could a) be surrendered to the vet and have a life saving surgery BUT the owners could never get the dog back, or, euthanize the dog. Unfortunately they chose to euthanize the dog. Not the choice I would have made. You also have to deal with putting animals down all the time, which is usually for the better (old age) but it’s gotta be upsetting and take a toll on the veterinarians. It takes a special person to be one!
