What are some ways that would better my odds of having a career in sports, such as sport broadcasting and sports journalism?
How do you think that I can improve my chances of having a career in sports such as sports broadcasting or sports journalism? What ways typically work, and also what courses could I take to increase my odds?

There are a few paths you can travel. Create your own path.
1) Player - You can develop your skill/reputation playing the sport and performing at higher levels. Post sport career, parlay into broadcasting
2) Broadcast Journalism - Course of study/major in college with sports broadcasting job placement/experience
3) Entrepreneur - In today's internet age, information is out there to be harvested. If you know where to go and to whom, you could launch your own entrrepenuerial endeavor, if you have the chops and potential viewership.
4) Know someone already in the field and apprentice/mentor
