Megan’s Answer

Hi Evelyn! It takes time to get people to notice your business- word or mouth and good reviews take time to spread. Using social media is one way to spread your business. You can work with others on social media to help promote your business. If you decided to design clothes you could work with influences to help market your clothes. You could take your clothes to pop-up events like weekend markets, fairs, etc. where you can display your clothes. It takes time and you will have to try different markets, events, and sites to see where you get the most traction.

I hope this helps!

Hey there, Evelyn! Megan shared some great thoughts, and I'd like to add to her ideas. Social media is an awesome way to grow your brand's audience. Apps like Instagram and TikTok can really help small, creative businesses like yours connect with new customers. Sometimes, just one viral video can make a huge difference for a small business like yours! But of course, it's not always easy. To make your work stand out, focus on a design style you truly love, and make it both unique to you and relatable to lots of people. I hope this advice helps, and I'm cheering you on as you build your future business!

Hello Evelyn,

The ideas for social media mentioned earlier are excellent for connecting with a wide range of people, as they let you focus on a particular group. It's also a good idea to put together a collection of your past projects, which can help you attract potential clients.

Hi Evelyn, I would suggest reading ' Building a Story Brand' by Donald Miller and ' The Ask Method' by Ryan Levesque. What you are describing is called ' Communicating your Value Proposition' or ' Testing your Business Idea.' These books off a strategy approach to communicating and testing business ideas. Lastly, I would suggest reading '$100M Offers' by Alex Hormozi which discusses how to get people to buy.
