Yes Sir. Experienced Multi-Coded Combo Welders Are Very Well Paid. As We Should Be.
It's Completely Up To You, You Can Travel The World And Make Tons Of Money.
Or Stay Home, And Make What A Company Thinks A Welder For Them Is Worth.
Just Know Your Worth, And Never Stop Educating Yourself. That Alone Can Take You Anywhere My Friend. And Remember, Failing Is Learning. I Promise You, In Welding, You Will Fail, But That's One Step Closer To Succeeding. Once You Pass Those Weld Test Through The Years, You Will Be Highly Sot After. Make Good Connections, And Put Out Great Work.
P.S - Be Nice To People, It Goes Along Way. Welders Have Eachothers Backs.

Stephanie LH’s Answer

To answer your questions about pay for welders it depends on your geographic location, the type(s) of welding processes you are certified to do (MIG, TIG, stick, aluminum), your level of certifications (trade school basic or advanced, NCCER, etc.), and the environment you will be working in (working on an oil rig, nuclear power jobs, or underwater yield more money). Start by searching for welding in the department of labor ONet tool below and putting in your zip code for average salary and range in your area. Then if this is for you, know as a basic repeatable function, welders need to lift and move 50lbs regularly. This is normally a team lift situation and you will be working in spaces that do not allow for two persons so you'll want to keep that in mind with your fitness goals. Also, hand eye coordination is key. Start exercises to improve your natural skill there. Learn to read a tape and prints (on paper and the computer in CAD or CMM). Once you receive your initial certifications consider getting more. Keep a portfolio with pictures of your projects. Enter into weld competitions and keep data on the types of weld you have done and the strength of your welds when put in the bend machines.
