While I'm not a NICU nurse myself and can't fully delve into this topic, I do understand that experiences can differ greatly. It's heartwarming to know that some parents, months after their baby's stay, return to the NICU to share their child's progress with the nurses. This typically occurs with families who have spent a significant amount of time in the NICU and have formed strong bonds with the nursing staff. There are also instances of families revisiting after a few years, especially if they had another reason to be at the hospital. However, I haven't personally heard of anyone returning as an adult. So, while it's certainly feasible, I wouldn't necessarily expect it to be a common occurrence.

My daughter was in the NICU, and I visited to show the nurses how much their care meant to me and my family. She weighed just 1 pound and 5 ounces at birth, and now she's 19 years old.
