There are many different benefits when it comes to being a welder. This includes good earning potential, job security due to the need of this profession, many different opportunities, independence because you don't have to always have to work for a person or company, in most cases you get to be very creative and can be rewarding personally. There are many different advantages of being a welder and is a good career to consider. Best of luck to you!

Hi, the benefits are like any other trade I think and learning a trade is always going to payoff. Things are always breaking or need to be fabricated or constructed. If you're a competent welder there's going to be work. The knowledge gained can carryover into other careers as well. I also think it's gratifying. I enjoy being able to look at a a days work and see a tangible project I created out of raw stock or repaired. Hope this helps.
