Hi Fernando! When I was in college, I utilized my school's career center. This is a great resource to discuss job posting and how previous students have networked/been offered jobs. I would also recommend expressing interest to your college professors. Often times, I found that professors are happy to discuss/reach out to their own network to find job openings.

I also think that it's great that you're interest in working part time while in school. I think that's a great way to get experience in the profession and see if it's what you're interested in pursing once you graduate.

Local governments often have part time jobs available that look great on your resume. We employ two students and have been very pleased by how quickly they learn. It's a great experience for the students and for us! A great resource also is to look on Indeed for part time positions, especially around tax season. My first accounting job was helping at a tax firm scanning tax records to prepare tax returns. Good luck!

You could intern at one of the big4 companies, while still in college. These pay even better then the actual salaried employee at the company sometimes, and thus you could make enough money during the internship that you don't even need to work part time while in school. These internships pay hourly, and if you are on a busy client you can work overtime for time and a half pay. This is the best way to make enough money, get really good career experience in accounting, and still be able to focus on your priority which is your course work.

Another place you might want to consider is your very own community college or university. I would definitely start with your school career advisors and/or instructors. They may have some lead way for you. I would also search on jobs sites. I often times see part-time positions, and some may list "internships". A good thing about this way, is that if you grow to like the job, you may have multiple opportunities to intern and eventually become an employee. Good Luck!
