It's so wonderful that you are doing well in Job Corps ! I would be happy to advise you on what you need to do in order to become a security guard, if that's what you're asking because "security" is such a wide field, but I will address the position of Security Guard in America for now.
In order to get a position as a security guard, you must be 18 or older. You would have to have no criminal background and a criminal background check would be done by the agency who would issue your security guard license. You don't need a college degree. You need to read, write and speak English proficiently. You also need to be an American citizen.
You also have to take a course by your state's approved licensing board and pass the exam. You can do this on line if you choose. You also have to provide the state (licensing board) with a passport photo of yourself. There is a small fee to get licensed which probably varies from state to state. With all the things I have mentioned, you would have to send in documents that verify your qualifications. You can e-mail or snail mail copies to the licensing board.
Some personality traits that will help you be a good security guard are alertness and always being aware of your surroundings. Also, honesty, being physically fit, great verbal and written communication skills, knowing how to de-escalate a situation, being punctual and able to multi-task and have respect for others. Security guards know what to do and get it done. They are confident and self reliant as well as work well with others. Last but not least, a security officer must always have a neat appearance and be well groomed.
