Getting involved in as many activities such as clubs and sports will help you figure put 1st what your gifts and talents may be in and second what you are interested in.
Also another thing you can do is to get a part time job or volunteer in the community such as hospitals, day cares, food banks or community centers. They always need young people to get involved and it is also a good place to see if you like working directly with people or behind the scenes.

Explore as much as you can in high school-
Take courses of interest or that get you involved- for example yearbook classes get you involved in school and build lots of skills
Join clubs, organizations, sports- whatever you can do outside of the classroom
volunteer- most places require you to be 16 or 18 to volunteer alone but you can see if an adult in your life will volunteer with you. Volunteering is great for exploring careers and also helping you earn scholarships
Part time job/ internship or job shadow- anything that lets you explore careers
Look for summer camps to attend particularly ones held at College campuses and related to careers
Attend events on college campuses or visit an older friend/cousin/ sibling at college
Whatever you can get your hands on!
