How can I apply for scholarships?
I can apply for scholarships by going to the link my councilor gives me. As well chosing the ones that apply to me. Then take the steps to apply for the scholarships.

The scholarship application is very detailed and can be a long process. The Scholarship Committee is looking at well rounded students who are deserving of the scholarship funds. They are seeing how well one can communicate, organization skills, financial need (in some cases) and accomplishments at school, at home and within the community.
Scholarship applications can start to be submitted during your Junior year and will continue throughout your Senior year in high school. It is best to ask your Academic Advisor/School Counselor on the timeline process as well. Scholarship applications will have specific deadlines and requirements to meet in order to be submitted for review and consideration.
You may want to start to compile your resume/portfolio since a majority of scholarship applications will require academic grade point average (GPA), academic accomplishments, school activities (clubs, sports, etc.), community involvement (volunteer, church, etc.), academic and personal recommendations, etc. There may be essay requirements on why you are a qualified candidate to receive the scholarship, what your future goals are academically and professionally and other questions centering around who you are, your beliefs, etc.

1) Check social media! There are influencers on TikTok and Instagram who promote some scholarship programs that aren't as widely advertised elsewhere, so this is another great tool to ensure you've identified all options available online
2) Once you've been accepted to the school you'll be attending - look into major-specific or department-specific scholarships that might not appear on the university's website, but might be relevant to your course of study
3) Study abroad! There are so many options for study abroad programs these days, and many of them are eligible for additional scholarships that actually make it cheaper to study in another country (often including your housing and meals) when compared to taking the same credits at your home institution.
