I will start by saying I am not a Chemistry expert, but I think your question can apply to studying and learning in general too.
I would suggest learning how you learn. These are some different ways people learn: Visual, Auditory, Read/Write, and Kinaesthetic
Discover what helps you retain the information, because it will require a ton of time and energy to do well in an AP course. I'm not sure how much you like Chemistry or not, but it will help to know the purpose of your studying, that it is for a greater reason than just a good grade.
As far as the specific technical information to study and get a good grade, I would suggest asking your teacher and friends who know the material. It can help to have a study group of folks dedicated to doing well.

My two recommendations are:

Reworking problems helps you learn to solve them faster, which will give you more time to work on difficult problems during the test. This is a strategy I used both for AP Chemistry and in many college classes.
