Depends on what you are passionate about. Your high school classes can really help get an idea. Also, college are really flexible about declaring your major by the end of Sophomore year. So, you have almost 2 years of exploring classes in college to find out what you are passionate about.
I would recommend getting into a technical field if you are thinking about securing a high-paying job. Explore classes related to the majors listed below in your freshmen year:
1) Computer Science
2) Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Computer)
3) Finance
4) Actuarial Science

Thank you for your question. Many students have similar question. The most important is to find out what career you have interest. The relevant subject is the major and minor you can focus.
Below are my suggestions :
1. Think about what you have interest, e.g. your hobbies, favourite subjects, etc. and identify the related careers
E.g. if you have interest in maths, would you like to be an accountant, engineer, banker, financial analyst, maths teacher, etc.
If you like music, would you like to be a musician, singer, musical artist, music composer, music producer, etc.
2. Find out more on these careers and determine what you have interest
3. Speak to someone who are working in these careers. Seek guidance from our mentor, school career counsellor, your parents, etc.
4. Shortlist 1-2 career you would like to pursue. The relevant subjects are the major and minor you can focus.
5. Explore the entry criteria of these subject in colleges

Picking a college major can bring a source of stress. But don't let it stress you out. Your major is just that. Yours! Find out a handful of things that interest you and peak your curiosity. Reach out to your career counselor and share your interests. They may be able to give you some helpful guidance.
What are you passionate about as it relates to a career? You may find that a major exists for some of your passions. If you have a college in mind. Try to visit that college and speak with one of the counselors there to see what insight they might be able to offer.
Picking a major is something to give thoughtful time to. Your major is something fitting for you and something that you would like. Also, you don't have to feel pressured to pick a major in your first year of college. You may not know yet what you would like to major in and that's ok! Spend some time researching , having conversations and asking questions about how your dreams, interests and passions can morph into a major that will keep you curious and fulfilled.

I'm going to say this simply. The BEST major is the one you will enjoy the most. Do you like the idea of creating something and marketing it to the masses? Major in Entrepreneurship. Do you love asking questions and testing ideas made from those questions to find an answer? choose a science field. Do you love to play music (like me lol)? major in music.
Not only should you choose the major you will enjoy the most, but there's also so many subcategories in different degrees. In science you could choose Biology, Geology, Chemistry- the list goes on. In business you could choose Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Entrepreneurship. In music you could study performance, recording technology, education (you could study education in any field really).
Do what you love to do.
Not only should you choose the major you will enjoy the most, but there's also so many subcategories in different degrees. In science you could choose Biology, Geology, Chemistry- the list goes on. In business you could choose Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Entrepreneurship.
