What are the steps in starting your own practice as a dentist?

I've researched all the steps that it takes to become a dentist, but I'm still wondering how you actually start your own practice. Should you get a certain amount of experience first? Do you need to understand business and finances? Do you build your own office or do you buy one already built?

I cannot really give an answer to this question because I still work as an associate. Nevertheless I strongly believe I will be a great idea to have experience in all aspects such as clinical, management, financial and others. It is always great to be your own boss but you have to make sure you are ready to deal with the financial and management aspects of dentistry
