Considering your preferences for time flexibility, in-person work, and teamwork as a high school junior, here are some more casual job suggestions that might suit you. An option is working at a grocery store, which involves in-person customer interaction and collaboration with colleagues. Additionally, being a camp counselor during breaks or volunteering as a coordinator for local events or organizations can provide opportunities for teamwork and in-person engagement. Volunteering can be a great way to gain experience, contribute to your community, and develop teamwork skills. Lastly, working at an amusement park allows you to work in a friendly setting and collaborate with other staff members. These suggestions align with your desired work environment and can provide valuable experiences while considering your current stage as a high school junior.

Claire’s Answer

I would encourage you to look into a career in sales! You could start in the service industry as suggested above, and if you find success and like the fast-paced team-oriented environment, you could take the people skills you gained in that industry to pivot into a sales role. In a sales role, you need to be focused on finding solutions to solve for your customers and be target driven.
