How do you chose between two subjects you want to teach?

I want to teach spanish but I would also like to teach government and because they are so different I'm having a hard time choosing which one to teach.

I was a Social Studies teacher. I can't help you decide but I do know you need the whole Social Studies endorsement to teach Government. High School Principals will only hire teachers who can teach Government, US History and World History. What If they need someone to teach 1 period of History (a required class to graduate)? If you only have a Government endorsement they could not use you.
