How do I begin a career in business management. What college will be the best to attend. What are the things that I need to make it possible. I just wanna succeed in my endeavor.
I have a very good grade and being a manager I top on the list for career goal for me. I just need a good advice on this.

I agree with Ben's comments. Also think about a part time job which will allow you to learn the business and possibly move into a manager role. I actually started a part time role in a fast food restaurant during my high school and college years. I was offered a management position during my junior year in college. This allowed me to jump into a management role in the insurance industry right out of college. The two years of management and my BS degree allowed me to jumpstart my career at 22.

To succeed, it helps to find what type of business—large/small, selling products or services or both, working with lots of people on a daily basis or managing a small team or just a sole owner of a small business. Some insights into what gives you most satisfaction can be gained by small office temporary jobs or intern roles that may offer you a window into certain types of organizations while you are still in school. In school, you can also discover through cases/videos and interactions with networking events to discover if there are areas of business management to which you are especially tuned.

Knowing already that you want to pursue a business management career is a step ahead. One can assume that you are in a career in business and that you want to be a manager. That shows confidence in your pursuit...if you are currently working or still in school, look at what is around you and how you can make things more organized, more essential and what kind of growth could be possible. One can always work to improve their skills such as communication, verbal and written, be aware of what is going on in the business world in this specific area, and be as knowledgeable as you can. That will help one grow in a managerial role. Be in the know, be in the present and be ready to work towards the future.

One of the best ways to get experience in business management is joining a startup where you can get exposure to many different parts of the organization and wear a lot of hats. Many startups offer internships to college students – that would be a great place to start! I recommend picking an industry that sounds interesting to you to narrow the search and exploring from there.

Here is my advice. I would start by what field that sounds interesting to you and then research top colleges in that field that are also in your budget. Once enrolled, seize the opportunity to join a business-oriented club to network with individuals who share your interests and seek leadership roles. I strongly advocate for securing an internship during your college years. This will provide you with invaluable hands-on experience and potentially pave the way to employment post-graduation. It's common to commence your career as an individual contributor before ascending to a managerial role. Embrace this phase! It's crucial to absorb as much knowledge as possible to effectively guide a team in your chosen field later on. Best of luck on your journey!
