The ALEKS PPA (Placement, Preparation, and Learning) is a test that many schools and universities use to find out the right math level for a student. This test helps make sure students are not put in math classes that are too hard, which can cause frustration, or too easy, which can waste time and money.

The Precalculus Proficiency Assessment (PPA) over at San Jose State University is a handy tool to check if you're ready for Math 70. Want to take Math 70? You'll need a good score on the PPA, which you can take care of with the university's testing services. If the PPA doesn't go as planned, don't worry! You might just need to take some warm-up courses like Math 19 (Precalculus) first. Remember, it's always a good idea to chat with your academic advisor or the Math Department to make sure you're on the right track. They can give you the most up-to-date info on requirements. For more details and the freshest info, head on over to the SJSU Math Department website.
