North Carolina State in Raleigh is a great place to go to school. The broad range of degree offerings have brought in a diverse population. With about 40K students, it is easy to find plenty of people that you have something in common with. The massive campus has plenty of room to roam, and the surrounding restaurants and bars make it quite a walk-friendly location.

Some of the best knowledge and experiences can be derived from family members or recent enrollees attending a university. It's always a good idea to check with you HS guidance counselor to ask if they have a list of recent graduates from your HS to then reach out to some to ask about their experience.

Hi Lauren,

I absolutely loved my time at NC State University! I received my industrial and systems engineering degree from NC State in 2014. The campus in my opinion is beautiful, and the level of education is incredible. The sports teams are also fun to watch as well - nothing quite compares to a Carter Finley football game against UNC Chapel Hill - haha.

But keep in mind what you want to go for and get your degree in, though NC State has my heart make sure that you will be getting a good education within your field of study!

Good Luck and if you do choose NC State - GO WOLFPACK!

Hi Lauren, NC State is a great university to attend. I received both and undergrad and graduate degree for NC State and always loved attend school there. The campus is very large with a diverse student population so it easy to find a group of people you like and fit in. There are also many different great programs of study to major in giving you many options if you aren't sure what you want to do yet. Not to mention campus is only a few minutes away from downtown where there are many great restaurants and bars. Also, the main street through campus is currently being revitalized which is bringing many new restaurants and other businesses to within a short walk from anywhere on campus.
