Where are the best and more cost effective "away rotations" for a 4th year medical student specializing in pediatrics?

I will be choosing 3 or 4 locations across the country that I would like to do a 2-4 week rotation during my fourth year of medical school and would like to minimize my out of pocket expenses as well as have a quality experience.

Estelle’s Answer

Look at locations where you could stay with friends or family. Also, focus on rotations at training programs where you are most interested in matching. Some programs have student housing where you can stay.

Congratulations on pursuing medicine. Good sources of information would be the director of alumni relations at your school who can help you to meet and talk to graduates of your school to get their input, favorite professors, and your academic adviser.
