Are there any companies hiring international STEM undergraduate students and provide visa sponsorship?#Fall24
I am an international student in a university outside the USA. My major is biomedical engineering and I am looking for an internship in the USA, in my field for summer 2025 plus visa sponsorship. Any advice?

Hi Grace,
Have you tried this program?
https://j1visa.state.gov/programs/intern/
https://j1visa.state.gov/early-career-stem-research-initiative/

If it doesn't work out for this year, keep it in mind for next year.
For this year, try to find an online internship. At least you wouldn't have to worry about visa troubles.
I hope this helps! All the best to you!

Hello there! I understand you're an international student, but don't rule out the possibility of building a career as a civilian in the Department of Defense. I, too, was never a part of the military, yet I found myself establishing a rewarding career within the Department of Defense. I began my journey as a technician, armed with an associate degree from college. Once I joined the DOD, they funded my educational progression, covering my Bachelor's degree in Business, an MBA, and a Master's in Information Technology. While my journey may differ from yours, I strongly recommend considering a federal career. They are well-funded and constantly on the hunt for talented individuals. Don't let the idea of visa sponsorship deter you. I would suggest starting at the Aberdeen Proving Ground in Maryland. They have a high regard for biomedical engineering. So, keep your spirits high and remember, every journey begins with a single step!
